God Has a Great Plan For You |
 |
Have you ever wondered "Why Am I Here"? Without
purpose, life becomes confusing and meaningless.
However, God has a wonderful plan for you and He has revealed it in
Himself.
Consider the majesty of God's power and wisdom revealed in the splendor
of His creation. Every detail of the world in which we live shows the
creative genius of God. Majestic lofty mountains, lush forests, vast
mighty oceans, raging rivers and billions of creatures of every kind
reveal the awesome power and infinite wisdom of God the Creator.
God's greatest masterpiece, however, was the creation of mankind in His
own image. In other words He created us with the ability to reason,
communicate and make choices.
He wanted us to choose Him, but we chose self instead. The Bible says
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.
God's plan for us was to Know Him, Love Him and and Live with Him
forever. But we willfully sinned and missed His purpose for our lives.
Sin separated us from a holy God.
Consider the Revelation of God's
Heart. We can see the evidence of God's power and wisdom in
creation but how does He feel about us? The Bible says "No man hath seen
God at any time; the only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the
Father, He hath declared Him" John 1:18.
Jesus Christ, God's Son, came into the world to reveal the heart of God
to lost mankind. But He also revealed the holiness of God. God loves
mankind but He is absolutely holy in His person and has declared that
"The wages of sin is death". How can God, who is holy, reconcile sinful
man to Himself?
The answer is found in Jesus Christ, God's Son. There had to be a
sinless substitute, someone who could satisfy the righteous demands of a
Holy God. The only one able to satisfy God and willing to pay the price
of our sin was Jesus Christ. On the cross, God the Father judged the
sins of the world in His own Son. God freely gave Him "To be sin for us
who knew no Sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."
And Jesus Christ willingly laid down His life and three days later rose
again. It is the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ that proves beyond
a shadow of a doubt that He is who He claimed to be, God clothed in
human flesh and therefore He is able to save us from our sin.
Because He lives, we can have eternal life also. This life must be
received as a gift. We do not deserve eternal life nor can we earn it.
The Bible says "For by grace are you saved by faith and that not of
yourselves, it is the gift of God not of works lest any man should
boast" Ephesians 2:8-9.
When you come to God believing in the death of His Son as payment for
your sin, He places the righteousness of Christ to your account. You are
saved by His life.
Receive Him today as your Lord and Savior and let Him reveal His great
plan for your life.
