Core Beliefs

The Bible
We believe the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is God’s written revelation to humanity. Scripture is verbally inspired by God, fully trustworthy, and without error in its original writings. The Bible is the complete Word of God and the final authority for faith and life. (2 Peter 1:19–21; 2 Timothy 3:15–17)

The Godhead
We believe there is one living and true God, eternal, perfect, and infinite in all His attributes. God exists eternally in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who are one in essence and equal in deity. Each Person of the Trinity is worthy of the same worship, honor, and love. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5–7; 1 Corinthians 8:4)

God the Father
We believe God the Father sovereignly rules over creation and redemption according to His purpose and grace. He upholds and governs all things while never being the author of sin. Through Jesus Christ, He saves those who come to Him by faith and relates to believers as a loving Father. (Psalm 103:19; James 1:13–14; Ephesians 1:3–6)

God the Son
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and without sin. He willingly died on the cross as the substitute for sinners and rose bodily from the dead, accomplishing salvation through His atoning work. Jesus ascended into heaven where He serves as our Advocate and High Priest and will return again for His church. (John 10:30; Matthew 1:23; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11)

God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, brings new birth, indwells believers, and empowers them for Christian living and service. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts for the building up of the church and always glorifies Jesus Christ. (Acts 5:3–4; John 16:7–14; Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:12–13)

Concerning Man
We believe humanity was created directly by God in His image and originally existed in innocence and fellowship with Him. Through Adam’s sin, humanity became separated from God and inherited a sinful nature. As a result, all people stand guilty before God and are unable to attain righteousness apart from His grace. Salvation is initiated by God, provided through Jesus Christ, and received by grace through faith apart from human merit or works. (Genesis 1:26–28; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8–10; 1 Peter 1:18–19)

Regeneration
We believe salvation requires spiritual rebirth through the work of the Holy Spirit. Through faith in Jesus Christ, a sinner is made alive in Christ and receives eternal life. Regeneration is demonstrated by repentance, faith, and a growing life of obedience to God. (John 5:24; Titus 3:5; Acts 20:21)

Justification
We believe justification is God’s act of declaring righteous those who place their faith in Jesus Christ. It is granted entirely by God’s grace apart from human works or merit. Through Christ, our sin is forgiven and His righteousness is credited to us. (Romans 3:20–26;
2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18)

Sanctification
We believe every believer is set apart to God through Jesus Christ and is called to grow in holiness. Through obedience to God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit, believers increasingly become more like Christ. Though the struggle with sin continues throughout this life, God provides strength for victory and spiritual growth. (John 17:17; Romans 6:1–22; Galatians 5:16–25)

Concerning Election
We believe believers were chosen in Christ according to God’s sovereign purpose before the foundation of the world. God’s election works in harmony with His wisdom, grace, and human responsibility to respond in faith. Though these truths extend beyond full human understanding, they are perfectly reconciled in God’s will. (Ephesians 1:4; John 6:37–44; Romans 11:33–36)

Concerning Security
We believe all who place their faith in Jesus Christ possess eternal salvation and are kept secure by the power of God. Assurance of salvation rests on God’s faithfulness and Christ’s completed work. This security encourages believers toward joyful obedience and godly living rather than careless living. (John 10:27–30; Romans 8:31–39; 1 Peter 1:5)

Ecclesiastical Separation
We believe Christians are called to remain faithful to biblical truth and avoid teachings or influences that compromise the Gospel. Believers are to hold firmly to sound doctrine while showing humility, compassion, and love toward others. Faithfulness to Scripture and the clear proclamation of the Gospel must remain central to Christian ministry. (Romans 16:17–18; Galatians 1:8–9; 2 John 9–11)

Ordinances
We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water as a public testimony of faith and identification with Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice and is to be observed by believers in remembrance of Him. Neither baptism nor the Lord’s Supper provides salvation, but both are acts of obedience and worship. (Acts 2:41–47; Romans 6:3–5; 1 Corinthians 11:23–29)

Concerning Spiritual Gifts
We believe God gives spiritual gifts to every believer through the Holy Spirit for ministry, evangelism, and the strengthening of the church. These gifts are distributed according to God’s sovereign will and are to be faithfully used for His glory and the building up of the body of Christ. We believe temporary sign gifts were given to confirm the apostolic message and ceased with the completion of Scripture, while God continues to hear and answer prayer according to His will. Spiritual gifts are to be exercised in a way that glorifies Christ and strengthens His church. (Ephesians 4:7–12; 1 Corinthians 12:1–13; 13:8–10; James 5:13–15)

Concerning Eschatology – The Doctrine of Last Things
We believe in the imminent, personal, and bodily return of Jesus Christ for His church. Following the tribulation period, Christ will return in glory to judge the nations and establish His kingdom according to God’s sovereign plan. God’s purposes for the last days will be fulfilled exactly as He has promised. (John 14:1–3;
1 Thessalonians 4:13–17; Matthew 24:15–31)

The Millennial Reign of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will establish His kingdom and reign on earth for one thousand years in fulfillment of God’s promises. His reign will be marked by righteousness, justice, peace, and harmony. Following this period, Satan will face final defeat and eternal judgment. (Luke 1:30–33; Revelation 20:1–10; Isaiah 11:1–10)

The Eternal State
We believe all people will experience bodily resurrection—the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to eternal judgment. Believers will dwell forever with the Lord in joy and glory. Those who reject Christ will face eternal punishment. God’s eternal purposes will be fulfilled, and His righteousness fully displayed. (John 11:25–26;
2 Corinthians 5:8; Revelation 20:11–15)
